I just came across this Instagram post and immediately thought: this I need to share with my VAIN ladies.
You might have never heard of her: Mariella Frostrup. I never heard of her in any case. But ladies: what a lady. She is one of UK's most respected broadcasters, author and campaigner. Co-founder of Women in Work Summit, helping to create more equitable, fair and inclusive workforces amongst other very powerful and noble undertakings. In short: a beautiful strong lady, with a strong voice.

Mariella's Frostrup's BUILDING BLOCKS FOR CAREER SUCCES:
1# THE POWER OF PREPARATION
Her preparation starts the evening before the big day. A hot bath before she goes to bed (I can recommend a magnesium bath actually: it truly does miracles on your sleeping quality). Of course, very un-Generation-Z: switch off iPhones, tablets, screens of all sorts. She practices yoga (*sigh* I also wish to do that but somehow I never manage to squeeze in those 10 minutes!)
2# DRESS FOR IMPACT
Mariella puts quite some thought in what she wears: To express who you want to be, wearing pieces that make you look powerful but also, and more importantly, feel powerful. If you put on a suit that instantly gives you shape, that makes you feel feminine but also strong. Then that will already do 25% of the work.
3# BUILDING SELF-CONFIDENCE AT WORK
Like all of us, Mariella too didn't have confidence at all when she was younger. But she had determination. Now, she doesn't worry any longer on how she looks or what she is going to say or what people are going to think of her. Once those things are off the list, she claims, life became sweet. She believes that self-confidence is a superpower.
4# SETTING CAREER GOALS
This is very interesting. Mariella claims that if you do less, you often achieve more. That has nothing to do with laziness. To her, it is all about setting very clear goals, to actually get a much better chance of achieving them.
